LATIN AMERICA / 14
Representatives of Latin American companies come to Moscow for negotiations, bank appointments and notary visits. We provide interpreting from Spanish and English, written translations certified by a notary, and accompany your people wherever correct paperwork matters as much as the words.
The director of a Peruvian company is flying to Moscow for a few days: a meeting with a buyer, a bank appointment and signing documents before a notary. He needs someone to interpret and to tell him in advance which documents to bring to each meeting.
The Russian LLC of a Brazilian group has received a parent company resolution changing the director, in Portuguese and apostilled. The tax office needs a notarised translation of both the resolution and the apostille, and the spelling of the name must match the passport.
A bank has asked an Ecuadorian company for documents on its beneficial owners and business purpose. Some are in Spanish, some in English, and the bank accepts them only with a Russian translation.

QUESTIONS
We handle work in Spanish and English, with an interpreter where needed. For each meeting we decide whether a separate interpreter is required and brief them on the subject. Portuguese is covered only through an engaged interpreter or translator.
For the registration authority, the accuracy of a translation is certified by a notary or a consular office. A translation without such certification will most likely have to be redone in Russia, so we agree in advance where the translation will be made. The final decision to accept documents rests with the tax office or bank.
Yes. The whole document is translated, including the apostille, seals and stamps; otherwise the tax office or bank may return it. The document route for each country (apostille, the treaty with Cuba, legalisation) is covered in detail by a separate service within this practice.
Yes, under a power of attorney, provided the bank does not require the director to attend in person. Each bank sets its own requirements, so we check them in advance. Choosing a bank and opening an account is a separate service within this practice.
